Wednesday Wildlife

As I am alone in my quarters in the day time, Äiti is making sure I get time with the masses when she is around to supervise. I have been enjoying the sunshine - when it has been here for us.

I have not been joining in with the carnage of bird slaughter which Papu, Otso and Jura have been undertaking. Also, there are some very juicy young squirrels around right now - one fewer today thanks to Otso. Hunting season is really in full swing.
 

Sphynxie Saturday

Well, I am not going to call this post Seppo Saturday, since he's not exactly showing his best view to the camera, being far more concerned with vacuuming up teats than posing for a photo. And he fully deserves the stinkeye from me, since he found the snack and I did not.

So last week, Äiti completely messed up the link to the jigsaw. We think it is better she uses a different format link now, and it'll show the picture so maybe it solves all problems. Except the Äiti problem - somehow we think that she will never be solved....

Sweltering Sweaterday

Why do I get covered in clothes on a hot, sunny day? Well, apparently it is some level of protection - against biteys (looking at you Papu!).  I am not convinced orange is my colour, but it is certainly better than a woollen sweater, at midsummer!

Warming Up Wednesday

We are not in high summer here yet - there is still a chilly wind. However, in the sunshine it is perfectly fine to snooze away. I still have my sweater on - for protection!

 

Wednesday Whaps

 Oh the joy of the sunshine and playtime on the Catio. Sure, we prefer the birdies and mousies which foolishly stray into our territory, but the packing tape toy will suffice.

But our murder mitts are waiting.....

Wednesday Negotiations

I get to explore the Castle when Äiti is around to supervise the Bullying Burmese Felocoraptors and check I do not add to ystävämme eläinlääkäri's workload.  So I do meet up with all the other Felocrats, and I have not forgotten what a little terror Mesi can be. However, Otso's presence has calmed her considerably, so we did have some discussions about who could stay where, and Äiti was very pleased that peace was maintained. Mesi was defensive, but not feisty. And I decided the sunpuddle was a good place to be. Peace is good !

 

Mancat Monday

 Moi ! I think I have melted. We have a big load of heats here and we are all tired. Makes us feel really sad for everyone who is suffering even worse heats this summer.

Thursday Portrait

It was my turn to hog the hammock with Äiti, and look very handsome in the sunshine.  I did not stay out long as it was very sunny and hot, and I did not want to get sunburn - we fair nekkids have to be aware of things like that.

Ah, the summer holidays. Time for Äiti to attempt the daily crossword. And time for us to help.

It's hammock time again, and we are enjoying the summer. It is time for Seppo's glorious face to get some rays after he tanned his tum last week. We also thank you for the good wishes for Veikko - his wound was flushed clean again and his antibiotics are helping it heal now. Paws crossed this is the end of the infection.

 

Furless Friday

And I also love feeling the sun on my hocks. I am currently recovering from yet another bitey (Äiti knows exactly who did it too but will not reveal the culprit to face the wrath of you Loyal Readers).  Anyway, this bitey became a big abscess and it was yucky. Äiti and I wrassle twice daily as I take the antibiotics - they are meant to taste like treats but that is not my view point. Her hands look a little lacerated, but she'll recover.

In the meantime, I shall soak up the rays to help the healing.

Monday Mancat

Whenever I can, I like to get out to the Catio to feel the sunshine on my wrinkles. There is still snow outside and it is chilly, but the suntraps are protected from the wind. I am also protected from the others as Äiti is now supervising my visits outside of my quarters, as there have been a few biteys from a disrespectful burmese or two. But I am happy in my upstairs room, as I get Äiti to myself every night.
