Hyvää Ystävänpäivää !

Happy Friendship Day* from all of us in Finland(N). And that includes the eight and an half week old kittens from Kissmollin.

*We don't do a romantic Valentine's Day here, and just celebrate friendship, which is much better for us kitties without our bitties......

Tuesday Tangle

The seven Kissmollin kitlets are all sleepy and settled, guarded by greatgreatgreatgreatgrandmother Nella.

Toesday

Kitten toes are the sweetest, and maybe the cleanest. The Kissmollin kittens are growing fast. And we Felocrats are delighted to hear that all of them have fine homes lined up already. Phew.

Monday Milkbar

Papu's little step-siblings are being utterly cute and photogenic. Äiti is assuring us that none is destined to become a Felocrat but she still cannot help but visit them and take photos. So it seems the blog is being hijacked by these little squirts.

Monday Squee

Meet a step-kitten or two of Papu's. Yes, cute. Very, very cute. And Momma Lilja is being very protective.

Fertile Friday

Papu is proud to announce his Mamma, Lilja, has produced seven kittens over at Kissmollin cattery. All are well and pretty big (over 80g) despite being born a few days early.

And before anyone asks, the Felocracy has no expansion plans right now and Äiti will be happy to visit cute little kittens without bringing any back home. Well, so she says.

Papu's Big Day

And so the big day arrived. Papu was rudely snatched from the safety of his family and taken to Perheemme. To us, to be a felocrat.
He first met great-great-uncle Jura who gave him a good sniff. There was no hissing or floof tails. I was then brought in, as it is important I bond with him - I have plans that he will be my ally. I occupied his bed - it was very comfy and  I think he needs to see me as someone whom he respects.
I showed him my skills at playing, and he took this very calmly. He was mighty impressed when I peemailed though, and Äiti could see he was thinking about this being the sort of thing he wants to do when he is all big and grown up. She was not happy. I was proud.
Now the others were shut out while some napping took place. And just as The Two Devon Cats predicted, Papu snuck under Äiti's chin.
And it was also Seppo's turn to meet the new lad. We apologise for the video quality - that is purely down to Äiti and a misplaced screen protector. We think you can see a very pleasnt welcome and a very confident hiss.

So far, Papu has settled well. He has not been phased out at all but he has not yet met the girlcats or Pekka or Sampo. Äiti is taking this slowly. Roosa's gift to us all was giving us her room so that these introductions could happen one by one, and even though we miss her, we are very grateful for the space.
I am also grateful for kitten food - it is so yummy. Very yummy.

Saturday Show Off

Hmmm, look at this flexible little boy, showing everything off to the world.
That picture is most unsuitable for a jigsaw.  And maybe this one of him and brother Pulla is also not so good.
So this one of their feather-killing sister will have to do.
Enjoy !

Our Last Kitten Free Sunday

In one week Papu will arrive. Äiti has been busy bonding with him. She is telling him not to listen to Mesi and not to chase me. I like this policy. Papu needs to make a wise choice.
Yesterday he sniffed fresh air when the window was partly open. His little brain was working overtime trying to work out if he could open their catio flap. He needs to be patient.

Saturday Soft Focus

And here is the little poser, Papu. Eleven weeks old and growing fast. He's a very independent kitten and also very chilled. Äiti is head over heels with him, and is hoping he'll team up with me (and not Mesi!).

And here is the jigsaw of that gorgeous face. Äiti's words, not mine.

Friday Philosophy

Loyal Reader Summer asked us yesterday how we felt about the mild winter, and we think this picture sums up what the humans have done to our beloved planet - they are hanging on and feeling pretty fed up about it.
Of course we felines make everything look fun and cute as this picture shows, but Äiti is really pissed off about climate change. She likes less snow but hates the freeze-thaw of ice all the time, which is now happening so much earlier. It is not good for The Nature.  We also object to the fact that we have no glacier outside to make golden; I know as a nekkid, I would not go out anyway, but I'd like to have the choice !

Big Boy Cat Tuesday

Papu wishes it to be known that he is fully capable of doing all sorts of things that we adults do.....
....like using the Big Cat Loo !

Monday's Mini-mancat

Papu is eight weeks old. That means we have six more weeks  of freedom from this mighty, bitey little mancat. He's learning Äiti tastes okay.

Ferocious Friday

This tiny terror is not coming to the Felocracy. Just as well really - one brown burmese with mighty claws is enough here.

Monday Munchkin Munching

I have been perusing the photos which Äiti took on Friday of her visit to see Papu. Several of them showed a very worrying trend. Exhibit 1:
Exhibit 2:
 Exhibit 3:
He thinks tailios are toys!!!!
We trust this is simply a phase he is going through. Seppo and I are very vulnerable in this regard; nekkid tails are most delightful.

Sunday Slapdown

At seven weeks old, the Kissmollin kitlets are busy practising being minicats.
Papu is being attacked - revenge for his previous attacks on his siblings we guess.
 His ankle is very tasty,
And strong - nice diversion there.
Uh oh - a stuck out tongue. Papu is readying his claws......

Saturday Squee

The Kissmollin litter is now nearly seven weeks old.  Äiti was sent to check on them; as I require information on young Papu and his burmese tendencies. Getting them to pose for a group photo proved impossible, but there was lots of playing and cuddling instead.  Jura update - so far he is being his normal self, with the occasional gulping motion which sends Äiti into panic; however signs are good. Paws crossed.
We are able to pass on information via Äiti's socks. They are the perfect medium for communication. She may think they have come straight out of the clean laundry but we have our ways and means!
And this is presented to you for your Saturday jigsaw.

Sneaky Sunday

This little brown monster has been listening to Lilja who detests Äiti's camera. Luckily it was out of the bag while the planned theft was attempted.
As there are three brown kittens and Äiti is old and useless, she is unable to identify who the cheeky tyke was - Pulla, Neilikka or Nuppu. She is hopeless- in so many ways.
