Wednesday Round Up

All has been quiet in the last few days, thankfully.  I have often pondered why I get picked upon, and it is something Äiti thinks about a lot too. When she thinks about the Felocrats who have been bitten, it is often those of us who fight bck and protest. If there is no fight or challenge to the 'bully', then there is no fun for the bully and they go away. We nekkids do seem to get the raw deal, so maybe there is some feline 'breedism' involved. It is not fun at all.   But we felines need a hierarchy and any kitty who does not accept it and challenges back, gets in trouble. Sampo and I are both fairly peace-loving, so it was a real shock to Äiti that we had a fight. However, I am  brave mancat and will always fight back, so maybe that is why I get bitten a lot. I also have no protective fur, so bites penetrate deeply and cause problems.

And here are two of us who are usually the victims -Sampo and Mesi. Yes, it is ironic that the tortie terrorist is now chased around - but Otso (who loves to tease her) is three times her size, so of course she runs away fast from him.

We do have a complicated hierarchy. Jaava is the boss - she is top girl. However she is not physically the strongest, so we mancats do flex our paws too.  Well, except Seppo who just screams like a banshee when any kitty looks at him. Otso, the biggest, is a big gallumphing mancat, but he never means harm - he just do not know how to play. Jura is pretty good at standing up to everyone, and he has been mean to me too. And then there's Papu - he does what he wants. If three of us are snuggled and he wants into the pile, he goes there. Äiti affectionately has started calling him Paputin.   Pffft.

Sunday Sunshine and Stinkeye

Veikko here, in the sunshine with a smart blue collar.  I have been mostly in my private quarters recently as I am having some problems with the others who are a little bit jealous that I get to sleep in the same bed as Äiti. Papu is also with us, but as he is getting bigger, no one is hassling him !

So my magic collar protects me from nearly everyone; Jura is however so strong that he bashes through two magnetic cat flaps and gets into my room. Now I am glad Jura is well enough to do this (he has an ongoing problem in his throat) but it's not much fun for me.  After a lot of stinkeye between us, he floofs his tail and launches at me. Äiti then usually rescues me by evicting Jura, but she is really upset by the fact we do not all get on. She asks if any Loyal Reader has suggestions about cat flaps ? Jura is very clever and strong, and Äiti is reluctant to buy another flap (one which reads microchips) if he can simply ram his way through those. But, I am enjoying my time with Papu in my room, and sleep on Äiti's head because I can !  And I do get to go out on the Catio with the others when supervised.
