Monday Marination

We are now in the dark and dismal month of November, and it is a week until the solstice (OOPS!  Äiti meant to write FOUR weeks - she's been on the Valerian too!!!) when the light will start to return. So, how do we cope with this kaamos, as we call the polar darkness ? Well, when the treats don't quite cheer us enough, there's valerian !

This spider has some seriously good stuff inside it. Monday is going to be happy after all.

 

Thursday Training

Moi ! Papu here. I guess you saw that yesterday I have graduted to be with the big boys and I loves  my valerian ! Oh yes. And we are having lots of that stinky stuff and kissanminttu in order to mellow us out and help us bond with the new kit. Some of us don't need to bond - Otso and I get on well - but he is still a little hissy and growly around the massed gatherings of the Felocrats.

Anyway, the peace process is something we can all enjoy. Pekka is an experienced user.

 So is Jura, and he enjoys beating up the toys.

 Seppo is a hugger and kicker.

And Otso - well, he's new to the game and takes it all in his own way. He does look like our much missed Mirsku here, but Otso rarely goes belly up. And if Äiti dares touch then there are biteys and kicks, which he loves !

Monday Mousing

The mousie was marinated in valerian and we indulged joyously in order to welcome the new week.

Serious munchies and napping followed.

Salmon Slaying Sunday

One of the Felocracy's favourite toys is a cuddly salmon. It was the extra special centre of attention for us the other night as Äiti had prepared it well for us. Mirsku was one of the first to savour its delights.

He gave it a good kicking.

And was clearly very much in love with it.

Why ? Well, we got a Christmas present from Äiti who went to our favourite pet shop, Muskettikoira, and picked up this seriously good gear:

It is designed to be a calming compound for dogs and cats, but there is a warning on the Dorwest website that for some felines it can cause hyperactivity. Really ? We'd never have known.
