Monday Mighty Mancat

Otso dislikes the phone camera but likes Dreamies (aka Temptations). He is allowing scritches but does stop and become bitey is he hears other kitties. But this is all good progess and soon one or two of us may get to meet him and see how he responds. He also has a door through which he can sniff us and then see us when Äiti removes the peemail barrier.....

Mancat Monday

Good day, this is Lewis. I was caught on camera in one of the most popular spots: the  bed by the kitchen window.

I did not stay long as it felt a bit intrusive when Äiti pointed the camera in my face, but she was very happy to see me there.

I was asked if I would write something for the blog and it would be rude to refuse, so I agreed. Aila, sadly, was not so polite.  I have known her nearly all her life, and she's not always so unfriendly - we get on well and she is kind to me.

Actually, everyone is kind to me as I am the oldest in the group, perheemme as it is called in the strange language of the Finncats. I am quite English in heritage, and apparently a true gentleman (blushes). I am very shy though and only allow this sort of thing in very quiet, rare moments. It makes Äiti very happy when she tickles me, and I admit I do enjoy it when I forget to be nervous.

I have seen may changes since I joined Äiti in 2005, when I was at least 5 years old. So many cats have joined us, and sadly so many have left. But I am happy, and glad of a good home with warmth and food and friends.
