We are devastated to report that Mirsku, our mightiest of mancats, was helped to the Bridge on Tuesday. We knew all was not well for little a while as he had been a bit snotty and drooly, and had only been licking at his food so Äiti had been making him tuna smoothies after he had een given some medicines. He visited ystävämme eläinlääkäri who discovered extensive tumours in his throat and tongue so Äiti made the hardest decision as it was clear that nothing could be done to make him more comfortable and prevent future pain. Mirsku, we think, was only about 15 years old and was an adult rescue kitty when he joined us. One of the best memories is when he arrived: he hid UTB for a good long while - Äiti went to check on him and found him upside own kicking a kissanminttu apple. This summed him up, and he never ceased to show his belly and his bits to the world.
As you can imagine there is a very big hole now in the Felocracy. A hulking great tabby-shaped hole. We will look for him in the dancing lights of the revontulet.
