That is indeed a pretty weird cat bed: Äiti used a wire basket and put a camping mat inside it. The foam has foil to reflect our heat back, and also there's a heaty pad in there. It is very popular.

Who could resist this photo of Lewis' dirty toes, with overgrown claw (it has since been trimmed as Lewis is so calm now that he permitted it).
