Saturday Squish

As Mesi was hogging Äiti's lap, Jaava, Jura and Papu were squished up in a beddy. Papu has decided that he likes being up close to his many-greats uncle and aunt. And what Papu wants, Papu gets.

Winter Busy-ness

 We like to be busy sleeping.

When awake, we have some awesome new stuff to play with, thanks to Loyal Readers and their  Christmas generosity. A kissanminttu dung beetle is JUST what we always wanted and needed. Yay!

And in the meantime, what does Äiti do ? Try to watch birds. In scenery like this. Does it look like there's loads of life out there ? Nope. Humans are just so crazy.

Monday Mancats

 Papu is providing a pillow for Jura, but what a shame Papu does not want to share his bed !

Monday Mancat

 Moi !   Papu here. Well, as Veikko hinted, I underwent some surgery and came back home to find my rear end a little sore and in need of much washing. I also felt very tired so needed to have Jaava and Jura provide me with pillows.

It  had been hoped that I would keep my bits for longer, but it wasn't the continual yelling and pacing around trying to find a suitable girlcat - it was the attempting to practice on unwilling felocrats and aggression that made Äiti decide I was not destined to be a daddy cat. Shame as my genes would have been very good for the burmese breed, what with me being an outcross. But no, after the fourth visit to the ystävämme eläinlääkäri with nekkids who had biteys, apparently enough was enough.  Äiti now hopes peace will break out. Let's see about that.

Sunday Snuggle

All the burmese together, plus Seppo. This was Äiti's chair - once. Papu was there first and the others flocked to him

So after two weeks of returning to school, the summer break has begun.  She says she is also calling for a little blogging break so do not worry if we don't post for a bit. We'll whap her back into shape soon enough.

Monday Mooch

While we have wild winds and high temperatures (RAIN in February !), we still insist on heaty pads and snuggling. Äiti wonders where Papu will fit in - probably  not under the blankie with Seppo seeing as he is still prone to producing toxic gases when disturbed.

Mondayagain ? Back to work again ? Shut the door quietly on the way out, Äiti.

Yes indeed, school has started again but Äiti is happy that she is working on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only this term. We're pretty glad of that too.

 Where did the sunshine go ? Why is white stuff falling from the sky again ? If we sleep for long enough, it'll go away.

Monday Mountain

It is well-known that Finnish humans need a range of about 2 metres of personal space around them. We Finncats are not the same, and on Saturday morning we reached a pinnacle of close packing. 

Äiti caught the process on video, which is unedited and therefore of poor cinematic quality. It does, however, show Sampo in total stealth mode.
