And we are back! First of all we all want to thank Loyal Readers for the comments and support over the passing of Aila. The End is an inevitable part of our lives, but that does not make it any easier for those of us left behind. Äiti has found herself being very reflective amongst all the sadness, but now it is time to move forward.
We Felocrats have sat and pondered too, and listened to Äiti as she has voiced some concerns over blogging. We have been doing it for a long time now, and Äiti has worried it has become a bit 'stale'. Also, one of our major Felocrats is no more, so she wondered about writing the blog for us at all. So after a few biteys to show her this was the wrong way to think, we have a plan. All this negotiating was tough so I had to punctuate it with many naps. Note, I am out in the open areas of the Castle, not shut in my quarters. I am having far more time with the others - supervised of course.
Papu, Jaava and Jura also needed to sleep a lot. Jaava has stepped up to be Top Girl. Jura and Papu are still chasing some of the rest of us, and occasionally causing chaos. Jaava and Jura are our oldest Felocrats, at nearly eleven years old. Papu is our youngest.Mesi and Sampo stick together as they are the victims of the chases and teasing. Mesi is pretty frightened by Otso as her is (literally) three times her size. However, she and Sampo are a good team and do not hide away all the time.
Seppo is a total diva - squealing away at the slightest provocation. Otso and Papu cannot resist teasing him to provoke him more. As a result, he glues himself to Äiti whenever he can. That fuzz may in fact be velcro.
But Papu and Otso are keeping up the feline backbone, and showing that the Felocrats are not all 'sooky lalas' (we guess the translation of that might be mammanpoijat and we take issue with that description, but Äiti is the one with the thumbs). Papu and Otso brave the cold and go on mousewatch. Papu is the mighty hunter although he is not as prolific as Pekka and Rusko, our former greats. We have had no fresh squirrel tails to play with for a long time. So, we are all adapting to being a Gang of Eight, with only two girlcats. We are living a fairly calm life, and Äiti wants that to continue. She is also finding stuff hard with her dizzy brain, so appreciates just the simple things, like us being on her lap......
I dont give a rats ar* if a blog is a bit stale. Life is! Do continue, please.
ReplyDeleteHahaha ! Thank you for being such a Loyal Reader. We shall wave this comment in front of Äiti frequently. Along with Seppo's stinky ar**.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot believe that there are kitties whose Humans help them blog EFFURRY day! That must be in Oz, or Shangri-La, or Hogwarts or Wakanda we think! We are lucky if our defective Human lets us share our Important Thoughts like twice a month! We are very happy that each of you has a special friend . . . even if Seppo and yourself, the mammanpoijat, must share Aiti.
ReplyDeleteI can’t believe Java and Jura are almost eleven!!!
ReplyDeleteI still think of them as “the kittens”.
All of us here will anxiously await each and every post.
HAVE a great day, dear furriends.
xoxo
No one is taking my Viscount Veikko moments away from me...NO ONE!
ReplyDeleteSure, we'll allow fewer posts, and hope that that hoodlum Papu leaves my VV alone...
My siblings have discovered that many of us suffer from dizziness and ringing in the ears, and now our 80-year old mother is having dizzy attacks too. It's like she caught it from her children...?
It seems impossible that Jaava and Jura are the oldest Felocrats. I also think of them if not quite as kittens, but the younger ones. I am glad you will continue to blog a couple of times a week. I will look forward to the puzzles too, although I often have difficulty since the TIAs with my right hand and brain not coordinating as they should.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad to hear from all of you again, and glad you all have convinced Aiti to continue blogging, if only so we can see how you all are doing from time to time.
ReplyDeleteMany of us are about the same age (+-11) so we have lost several of our number in the last couple of years. It is important for all of you to comfort one another and your huMom.
We like that Mesi & Sampo are hanging together - a tortie and a black cat make a formidable team. Purrs to all !
It is always tough when you lose a family member. I am glad you will keep blogging. XO
