I thank you kindly for all your wishes. I am indeed healing up, and have been demanding food as therapy. Seeing as I am getting pilled twice a day, I figure this is justified (even if I have put on 200 g in the last month...).
I am told by Äiti to apologise for the photo quality. It was taken as we snuggled against her, confining one arm.She unkindly chopped off Papu's nose and didn't get the focus right. However, you can just see on the very left of the shot, my shoulder which is now not swollen, and has a little scar in on. This is where the abscess was. The wound is being cleaned regularly, and of course my very own spit is the best for it !
Apparently the nasty bacteria which cause these infections come from feline gums when their teeth sink into flesh, and this is dangerous for us and humans. We are sure some of you have sent your humans off to the emergency room as revenge.
I am glad you feel better and the abscess looks so much better now it has been lanced. It is nice of Papu to keep you company as you recover.

ReplyDeleteOur outside cats have taught us a few things about abscesses, but for now, no humans have been bitten that severely.
