Slow Sunday

Äiti here. I took this photo on a chilly and misty jog yesterday.
Autumn's here and I can feel myself slowing down as the temperature drops and the light starts to fade. I am struggling with dizziness being back at work, and deeply miss my orange dictator, The Felocracy are very easy going here, and many things are calmer but I still wish Punapippuri were here hissy-fitting at us all.
I've become even worse at visiting and commenting on other blogs (I am sorry for this), and am also pondering a bit of a blogcation so just wanted to warn Loyal Readers.

  1. So happy you got out for a trot. Totally understand the need for a break...mine has lasted nine months and I'm still not ready to share, yet. It's a struggle to read blogs and stay engaged sometimes, even with not commenting. PPP was a powerhouse of opinion and inspiration and the well runs dry without that driving force. Do what's best. xx

  2. It sounds like you have a lot going on between work, your condition, and missing Puna. You probably do need a break!

  3. Lovely photo!
Take a break. It's so very hard to keep blogging after losing a special furbaby. We've all been there.
Sending all of you much love and light from all of us. (Some love biteys, too.)

  4. Yesh. Good that Äiti jog, it is best her health - physical and mental. And now my friends, give her a little bit more action. Do every tricks you can, maybe even nasty ones... In the name and soul of King PPP take best care of Äiti. Love Äiti.

  5. What a beautiful picture!! We understand you. Thanks for telling in advance that you're thinking about a break, so we don't need to worry.

Oh, and don't worry about reading or commenting on other blogs.

    1. It doesn't mean that you don't like the blog
    2. If you don't like a blog - why should you read it?
    3. Comment for comment / Share for share is ok to do, but only if both parts are involved.

We know that you don't comment regularly, but we happen to like your blog, we want to comment on it and we've the energy to do so - neither one has nothing to do with you visiting or commenting on our blog. =)

Take a break! We are thinking a lot of Punapippuri these days as September was kind of his month (even though he was to our surprise featured in August this year in your calendar).

  6. It's good to take a break sometimes. It is very hard to keep going when you lose one like Punapippuri who you loved so much. I was the same when first Eric, then Flynn went. It was hard to come back but having made so many friends I didn't want to lose contact.
I still read quite a lot of blogs but tend to mostly comment only when I post which is usually once a week.
Take as long as you need and come back refreshed. If it takes until the days start to lengthen again, then so be it. We will still be here waiting.

  7. The change of seasons is a time for reflection. I was handling Angel Puna's bed this morning, thinking of him and you. Take care.

  8. I agree with what others have said, if you feel a need/desire to take a break, we understand. We will miss you and the Felocracy (as we miss Punipippuri), but will be here waiting for you when the time is right for you to return--rested, rejuvenated, refreshed and reinvigorated. Please take care of yourself--we care about you.

  10. We try to avoid "misty jogs" ourselves. Dry daytime yard runs are good though.

  11. I'm pretty bad-tempered. Maybe you send a couple of the G12 for a visit and I'll teach them to be a little more snarky and hissy? You could start with Aila ;-)

We understand. We keep taking breaks without even meaning to. The Humans need to be kind to themselves. We think Aiti needs a little break to regroup.

  12. Sometimes we forget how draining the dizzied are and how much energy, for lack of a better word, it takes to cope with them. Whatever activity we're involved in, we are running a second activity in our brains at the same time - dealing with the spatial disorientation and, for me the pressure sensation in my head and accompanying nausea. Even watching tv is work when the dizzied take hold. (My bouts have become more severe and last longer.) They drags you down. It's hard enough for us to understand what we go through, rather impossible for others.
Breaks in everything are good. Relieve as much pressure as possible. . Allow yourself to deal with Punapippuri's crossing. Most of all, be good to yourself which is probably the hardest thing of all to do.
Kiss all the kitties for us especially Veikko.

We love comments from our Loyal Readers, even though Äiti is really bad at commenting back. But please don't let that stop you......

Saa kirjoitta suomeksikin - Äiti on laiska, mutta on pakko oppia suomea.

Tervetuloa! Welcome!
