Veikko here: yes, it is true. We have a New Addition. This is Otso and he has just seen me, and is wondering what on earth I am, all nekkid.
Now, we can tell you, this was not planned and we felocrats have been thrown into a bit of a frenzy. I am now with the others as that - apparently - is making me 'mancat up' and fight back a bit. And it is true, I have won some excellent stinkeye fights and seen off a burm or too without scratches.
Äiti has always said she thinks the non-breed kotikissa energy is important, and we got a call from ystävämme eläinlääkäri that a 6 kg tabby mancat (4 years old) needed a home as his human had died. And so here he is. However, he has not welcomed the fact that there are many other felines here and is needing to go very slowly. So he gets to be in the bedroom with Äiti and is locked away from us all while he gets used to a new life here. We hope it will work out and he will be happy - he's a big boy and that is why he is called Otso, a name meaning 'bear'. He's a bit of a grizzly one right now, but hopefully will mellow. We all just need time.
And tunas - we need a lot of bribes to cope with this!
Komea poika!
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor Otso, having to deal with losing his human AND having a very different new home! He's so pretty, though! I'll keep my fingers crossed for y'all.
ReplyDeleteWait, WHAT?!?
ReplyDeleteOh Otso, we feel sorry that your other human left you, however you'll soon find out that you've landed in the bestest place; lots of playmates, a human that will do anything for you, and stability. Welcome, and we LURV tabbies...
WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE!?! Did she get a PO'M Substitute?!?
Bless you for giving this sweet (we hope) tabby a home. I'm sure it will take a bit of time to adjust to his new home, but I think he will come to love his new fur-ever home. I'm a tabby lover and have found them to be loving and adaptable. Welcome Otso!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Otso! The change must be a big shock for him, but I hope he soon settles into his new home with all of you.
ReplyDeleteOh Otso - we hope you will be able t adapt to this wonderful home !
ReplyDeleteHow kind of you to save him.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that Otso will fit right in after some time to adjust. It's so nice of Äiti to take him in.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Otso ! We hope you'll adjust fine after some time and enjoy the company of the other kitties. Purrs
