Over the last few months (because she is so slow), Äiti has been moving things around the Castle. This week she put up some shelves in the front bedroom. Udsually shelves mean a playgrounbd for us - Jura was claiming them for himself.
But these shelves are to deal with 'overflow' from this - Äiti's 'library'. Most shelves are double-depth, and she realises she does not access the books behind at all. So, it's time to sort.
Yesterday, the sorting began. And it was not pretty. We kept well away. She manged to sort whatstays downstairs, but upstairs is a real old mess. Apparently she is going to pee-proof the shelves too. Now that is something we will only believe when Sampo has tested it out. Nothing is Sampo-pee-proof!

ReplyDeleteWe have bookcases like that, doubled up with sci-fi and fantasy and serious books and TBT has started packing them into boxes for temporary storage. Partly because he hasn't read any of them in years, but also because we are renovating our house.

ReplyDeleteWe cut holes in our shelves, and moved books, so the cats could climb! Cannot imagine how she is going to pee-proof them...
