It is - allegedly - a solar light. It is -definitely - a stupid idea. In the summer we have light all the time so need no lamp; in the winter, it's dark a lot and there's little sun to charge it. Äiti is foolish indeed.
Leave it to the tortie to investigate the intruder. That's a cute light.
